Għaxaq has 2 feasts in the 2026 church calendar. The main one is The Assumption of Our Lady (Santa Marija), on Saturday, 15 August 2026.

On a festa night the church is lit up, the band plays in the street and the statue of the saint is carried out. It is free and anyone can go.

Marsaxlokk Sunday fish marketEvery Sunday, about 7am to 12:30pm, in Marsaxlokk, about 3 km away. Fresh fish, colourful boats and a long row of stalls by the harbour. Come before 10am.
